Biorhythm Journal

Nature keeps time.

Biorhythms are based upon the fact that many things within nature happen in cycles: things that occur and recur. Planets orbiting the sun, the migration of birds and fish, the tides, the phases of the moon. The list is almost endless.

twice a day

The tides

The sea rises and falls about every twelve hours and twenty-five minutes, pulled by the moon and the sun.

turns once a day

The night sky

As the earth turns, the stars wheel around the pole and come back to the same place a day later.

every 29½ days

The moon

From new to full and back to new again in about twenty-nine and a half days.

once a year

Migration

Cranes, swallows and salmon travel the same routes at the same season, year after year.

And in you, three more.

BioCalendar follows three such cycles in a person, each on its own fixed period, and reads the day by where all three sit at once. Every cycle passes through the same eight states in turn, and the states have names.

a 23-day cycle

Physical

Energy, strength, endurance and physical resilience.

a 28-day cycle

Emotional

Mood, creativity, sensitivity and emotional steadiness.

a 33-day cycle

Intellectual

Logic, memory, concentration and clear thinking.
